I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
