During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
